Hi, I’m Tim — and I built ThoughtsBeCaught not just as a developer, but as someone who needed it to survive.
There was a time in my life when I was deeply wounded — mentally, emotionally, spiritually. I didn’t always have the language for what I was feeling. I just knew the pain was real. Unrelenting. And it pushed me to a place where I started hurting myself.
Sometimes that pain was loud and chaotic. Other times it was quiet and numbing. But it was always there. And for a while, I wasn’t sure if I’d make it through.
What helped me begin to heal wasn’t a single breakthrough. It was the small, consistent act of tracking what I was feeling, reflecting on what was going on, and finding even the tiniest tools that helped me cope. I began writing things down — thoughts, emotions, triggers, patterns. Then I started building.
ThoughtsBeCaught began as a lifeline to myself — a way to catch the thoughts that overwhelmed me before they dragged me under. I didn’t just want to survive; I wanted to understand what was happening in my mind and create space for healing. Coding this app was therapy. Using it was recovery.
Now, I’m sharing it with you. Because I know what it’s like to feel hopeless. I know what it’s like to want to give up. And I also know what it’s like to slowly find your way forward, one moment at a time.
This app is for anyone who’s trying. Whether you’re in crisis, stuck in a loop, or just trying to make sense of what you feel — I see you. I built this for us.
You’re not broken. You’re not alone. And you’re not beyond healing.
Thanks for being here. – Tim
