Why a Safety Plan Helps


Create a Safety Plan

Create a plan with warning signs, coping steps, and support contacts.
Tap a plan to view or edit. Use + to add a new one.
Note: two safety plans cannot have the same name.

Give the safety plan a name and click create

Safety Plan Directions

Create a plan you can rely on during difficult moments. Give your plan a clear name, then add your personal warning signs, coping strategies, and people who can support you. Include both trusted individuals and professional contacts, and note steps you can take to make your environment safer.

You can update this plan at any time. When finished, save it for quick access or export it as a PDF to share with a therapist, medical provider, or trusted support person.

Use this plan as a guide when things feel overwhelming—one step at a time.

Then fill out warning signs after you fill out the prompt click the plus sign, you can add multiple warning signs to the safety plan, click the trash can button to delete

Then fill out coping strategies to use with this safety plan, you can add multple coping strategies, click the trash can button to delete

Then fill out supportive people and their relationship to you, you can multiple supportive people and phone numbers, click the trash can button to delete

Then fill out Professional Contacts like doctors and therapists and add role and phone numbers. you can add multuiple professional contacts, click the trash can button to delete

Then fill out the final prompt Make Environment Safe, you can add multiple details on making the environment safe, click the trash can button to delete

Click the check sign to save, the trash can button to delete and the export button to quick view the safety plan


This gives you details on the safety plan and click the export pdf to print or save file

How to Export or Print Safety Plan

  1. Tap any plan to open it. Use the Preview / Export PDF button in the top-right, then tap Export PDF. You can share, save to Files, or print from the share sheet.
  2. Or tap + to create a new plan. After adding details, use Preview / Export PDF anytime to generate a printable version.

ℹ️ Your export includes your title, reason to live, notes, warning signs, coping strategies, environment safety steps, supportive people, and professional contacts.

On the list view you can scroll to the bottom to view safety plans. This lets you edit safety plan and save and then print
