Success is something people celebrate.
Failure is something people hide.
But if I’m honest, failure has been one of the greatest teachers in my life, and it directly led to personal growth. Many of the things shaping who I am today came from moments that once felt like the end of the road.

The Slow Growth of a Dream
When I started building the ThoughtsBeCaught mental wellness app, I had a vision — to help people capture their thoughts, understand their emotions, and realize that change is possible.
But meaningful things rarely grow overnight.
User growth has been slow. Not zero — but slow. And when you put your heart into something, slow progress can feel like failure. Indeed, the journey combines failure and growth in ways that are often invisible to outsiders.
Yet every new user, every message, every person saying the app helped them reflect reminds me of something important:
Growth is happening — just not at the speed I expected.
Sometimes what looks like failure is actually quiet progress.
The Failure That Changed My Life
There was another failure that shaped my life much more deeply.
A moment when I tried to end my life — and failed.
That failure put me in hospitals and psychiatric centers for a while. At the time it felt like everything had collapsed.
But looking back now, I see it differently.
That failure gave me another chance at life. In fact, my journey is proof that failure and growth are always intertwined.
It forced me to confront my thoughts and understand pain in a way I never had before. Eventually, it helped lead me to create ThoughtsBeCaught app — something meant to help others navigate their own struggles.
Why Failure Teaches Us the Most
Failure forces reflection.
It asks hard questions.
It pushes growth. Clearly, failure and growth go hand in hand, each pushing us to discover new strengths.
Many of the strongest people you’ll ever meet didn’t avoid failure — they went through it, learned from it, and kept going.
Turning Pain Into Purpose
I still fail often. Some failures hurt more than others. Nevertheless, the relationship between failure and growth is ongoing.
But over time I’ve learned something important:
Failure isn’t always something to fear.
Sometimes it’s something to listen to.
Today when I look at ThoughtsBeCaught app, I don’t see failure. I see something slowly growing out of real experiences and real pain.
And if my failures can help someone else feel less alone in their struggles, then maybe those failures weren’t failures at all.
Maybe they were just lessons waiting to be understood.
Change is possible — and here’s the proof.
