Everyone has their own sense of humor, and honestly, mine can be pretty simple. If someone asks what makes me laugh, I would say absurd WTF humor and dumb fart videos. There is just something about random, unexpected comedy that gets me every time.
I think part of it is how unfiltered and ridiculous it feels. Some jokes are clever, and some are deep, but sometimes the funniest thing in the world is just something completely stupid that catches you off guard. That kind of humor does not need to make sense. In fact, the less sense it makes, the funnier it usually is, and that is often what makes me laugh most.
Fart videos are another one of those things that never seem to get old for me. They are immature, ridiculous, and completely over the top, which is exactly why they are funny. Sometimes laughter does not have to be serious or meaningful. Thinking about what makes me laugh, it is just about letting go and enjoying something silly.
I think laughter like that is actually important. Life can get stressful, heavy, and complicated. Random humor gives your brain a break. To be honest, what makes me laugh the hardest is humor that reminds you not to take everything so seriously all the time. Even a ridiculous video or a completely stupid joke can turn a bad mood around.
What makes me laugh may not be the same thing that makes someone else laugh, but that is what is great about humor. It is personal. For me, weird internet humor, WTF-style jokes, and silly fart videos will probably always win. When I think about what makes me laugh more than anything else, it’s that simple, unexpected, and somehow always hilarious comedy.
At the end of the day, laughter is laughter. If something makes you laugh so hard you cannot breathe for a second, then it is doing its job. As a result, I often reflect on what makes me laugh and why it matters.
Change is possible — and here’s the proof.
