Daily writing prompt
What place in the world do you never want to visit? Why?

If I had to answer the question, “What place in the world do you never want to visit?”—my answer is simple: jail.

Jail isn’t just a place—it’s a feeling. It’s uncomfortable, cold, and mentally draining. Even the smallest things feel worse there. The food, the environment, the energy—it’s like taking the worst version of life and somehow making it even worse. I’ve been there a couple of times, and that was enough for me. I’ve had misdemeanors and even felonies, and every time, it pushed me to reflect on where my life was heading.

I’ve never been to prison, but jail alone was enough to open my eyes.

That experience forced me to look inward. I realized I needed something to keep me grounded—something to help me process my thoughts before they turned into actions I’d regret. That’s where the idea for my app, ThoughtsBeCaught app, came from.

Instead of letting negative thoughts spiral, I wanted a way to capture them, understand them, and redirect them. The app became more than just a tool—it became a lifeline. Something I could rely on when I felt overwhelmed, angry, or lost.

The goal is simple: stay on the straight and narrow.

And maybe—just maybe—this app can help someone else do the same. Because sometimes all it takes is one pause, one thought captured, one moment of reflection to change the direction you’re heading.

Jail is a place I never want to go back to. And if sharing this helps even one person avoid it, then it’s worth it.

Change is possible — and here’s the proof.
